The Alum Relations program mission is to support Waldorf alums in their personal and professional lives. The Business Directory on the Waldorf Alum Connect networking platform is one of the ways we are achieving this by offering directory listings to alums at no charge. If you haven’t yet browsed the Directory, we invite you to take a look at the listings to see the diverse companies that our alum community has to offer.
This month with the fall colours beginning to come alive, we are featuring Country Mile Vermont, an outdoor education and tours company run by Peter Mandych, an Aurora Waldorf School alum. Offering hiking, skiing and snowboarding adventures in the Green Mountains of Vermont’s Mad River Valley region, you are sure to find a tour that suits your needs and abilities.
If you know an alum who owns a business and who would like some free promotion, please let them know about the Directory. With a growing membership, a listing currently reaches an audience of close to 300o people! While alums do not have to register on the platform to have a listing, we hope alums will see the value of signing up, not only for their business but also for the benefit to the alum community at large. For example, opting to be a mentor to younger alums is one of the ways to give back to our ever growing alum family.
We love how our alums understand the gift of giving back, by supporting other alums, our schools, and the Waldorf movement at large. Peter Mandych knows the value of this reciprocal relationship and has generously offered a discount on his tour packages for any Waldorf alum booking a tour this fall season. If you’re looking for a hiking adventure to take in the beauty of the spectacular fall colours, check out Country Mile Vermont’s cozy inn-t0-inn hiking tours and mention that you heard about it from Waldorf Alum Connect. Let’s show some love for our alum entrepreneurs!
