The Center for Biography and Social Art received a grant in 2017 to provide biography workshops in Waldorf school communities. These workshops are specifically designed to help faculty, parents, staff, and board members get to know each other and to work together.

This year, Awakening Connections; Creating Community will take place in three half day sessions over the course of a school year in person or on Zoom.

Biography and social art exercises and reflections are powerful tools for building empathy, mutual interest and a sense of community. Because they incorporate generous listening without judgment, they also help celebrate differences. Each session includes a presentation about specific attributes of a life phase using artistic prompts to open up memories to share in small groups.
