Many Waldorf schools and communities have already begun their celebrations of Waldorf100, incorporating the 100-year anniversary as a theme into their annual spring galas and festivals. Denver Waldorf School, The Waldorf School of Cape Cod, Highland Hall Waldorf School, and The Waldorf School of Garden City are just some of the examples of schools using their annual benefits to honor Waldorf education's anniversary. 

Denver Waldorf School’s 2019 Auction and Gala celebrated both the school’s 45 year anniversary and Waldorf education’s 100th year. Founder of DWS and alumni of Rudolf Steiner’s original Stuttgart school, Ina Jaehnig, was the guest speaker. She co-founded the Denver Waldorf school in 1974 and has taught at the school for over 30 years helping to build a strong community of families, staff and faculty. Money raised supported capital improvements, school programs and scholarships.

The Waldorf School of Cape Cod’s Annual Gala was held right before spring and they tied together themes of both the Waldorf 100 year anniversary and the Greenbee Wildlife Web initiative. Bee Kind, Bee Loved, Bee You, was held in honor of the 100th anniversary of Waldorf Education worldwide and in celebration of honey bees and all they do for our planet.


 

At the Highland Hall Waldorf School, their annual gala, 2nd Century Gala, was themed around Waldorf100 and the school's newly launched 2nd Century Campaign -- a campaign led by the Board of Trustees to build a secure foundation for the next century of Waldorf education at Highland Hall.

The Waldorf School of Garden City's gala -- 2019 - Celebrating 100 Years of Waldorf Education -- was a black tie event honoring individuals and alumni who have made significant contributions to the school. All proceeds benefited the Early Childhood Playground renovation and Camp Glen Brook summer camp projects.
