Students in the fourth grade at the Waldorf School of Saratoga Springs recently attended a week-long farm-stay educational experience at Hawthorne Valley in Ghent, NY.
They experienced hands-on learning through baking bread, cleaning barns, tending gardens, preparing meals and so much more. The goal is to learn practical skills related to Waldorf curriculum all while fostering skills in cooperation and critical thinking.
The students also connect with the rhythms of nature, the environment, and farm life during this immersive experience.
