The Waldorf School of Baltimore offers Baltimore area families the first ever Forest Kindergarten in the area. Students in the program will spend most, if not all, of the school day outside regardless of the weather. 

After the school celebrated its 50th anniversary, it opened a second Kindergarten “classroom in the woods.” The “classroom” is located in a beautiful urban woodland on The Waldorf School’s campus, which is a certified wildlife habitat and Maryland Green School. Young ones start their day by taking a trail to their dedicated outdoor space filled with sandboxes, sinks, swings, and natural wooden play structures -- a classroom with no walls.
