In 2000, the Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor’s first graduating class of seniors made individual mosaic panels in art class that were gifted to the school. Almost every year since, seniors have created a large, collaborative mosaic to be permanently mounted at the high school.

The students begin working on the class mosaic in April, after completing a class trip to Italy where students study the art, architecture, mathematics, physics, and literature that is reflected in the curriculum. The Mosaics represent many different styles and subjects.
