Artist and parent at The Hartsbrook School, Melissa Renzi, is sharing her passion for leading art workshops with the students by offering Creativity Camp. The Hartsbrook School, as a Waldorf school, incorporates the arts in every aspect of teaching. In this way, Renzi’s Creativity Camp is a perfect fit for the school’s expanding summer camp program.
Renzi was an apprentice of well-known paper mache artist Gemma Taccogna. Tacoggna encouraged Renzi to run workshops to connect people of all ages with their inner creativity. She heeded the advice and taught creative life workshops for many years. Recently, after offering workshops to parents at The Hartsbrook School, she was asked to offer programs to students in the summer.
Renzi says she immediately agreed, noting she was thrilled to get involved as “community is such a big part of Hartsbrook.”
