Opening Statement
Marin Waldorf School in San Rafael, CA is looking for dynamic, creative, and dedicated early childhood and grades substitute teachers to join our school. Experience with Waldorf education is a plus. Different subbing opportunities exist for full day, half day, and aftercare, Monday through Friday. Experience working with children required.
About
Marin Waldorf School offers a comprehensive educational experience through its vibrant parent/toddler program, two preschools, two kindergartens, and a full grades program (grades 1–8). Our 10-acre campus includes a beautiful oak grove, biodynamic garden, very large grass playing field, Multiple play areas and gardens for Early Childhood through 8th grade as well as a library and a woodwork studio. Our expanded curriculum includes Woodwork, handwork, instrumental music, orchestra, choir, physical, outdoor, environmental and ecology education, gardening, Eurythmy, Spanish, and Mandarin.
MWS is located in the heart of beautiful Marin County, California, just 25-40 minutes from San Francisco, Sonoma, Berkeley, Santa Rosa. Essential Job Duties
Primary responsibilities include:
- Track attendance carefully
- Follow and execute lesson plans arranged by the absent teacher in accordance with the daily schedule

Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements
- Experience working in an extracurricular or educational program with children ages 2.5 -14
- Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred:
• Has or is currently pursuing a Waldorf Teaching certificate
• Previous Waldorf teaching experience is a plus
