Part-Time Spanish Teacher
Opening Statement
Waldorf School at Moraine Farm is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Spanish teacher for
the 2025-2026 school year. Key to this role is working with the foundations of Waldorf education
to develop a curriculum that meets the children in a healthy, joyful, and purposeful manner. The
Spanish Teacher will teach two 50-minute classes per week to classes in grades one through six,
for a total of 8 periods per week. Waldorf schools embrace a low-technology approach. In the
early grades, we prioritize social interaction, hands-on learning, creativity, and imagination over
digital devices.

About Waldorf School at Moraine Farm: Our amazing campus is part of a 200-acre natural
wonderland with meadows, woods, hiking trails, playgrounds, and beautiful classrooms located
north of Boston.
Our school, now in its 39th year, is an associate member of AWSNA. We have approximately 80
children enrolled in Toddler through Grade 6. Grades children participate in several subject
classes, including Physical Education, Music (Strings and Orchestra), Handwork, and Spanish.
Our Early Childhood program includes Kindergarten, Nursery, Toddler, and Parent-Child classes.
Our faculty is a diverse, multi-generational group. We are a mix of both new and experienced
teachers. We are committed to faculty support and development and provide ongoing mentoring
and regular evaluation. We enjoy strong collaborative relationships among our Faculty, Parents,
and Board of Trustees.

strength, and compassionate action. We nurture students’ curiosity about their purpose
and place in the world and prepare them to make a meaningful impact in it.
Essential Job Duties
Spanish classes in Waldorf schools are taught through the following activities
and components:
- Teacher-led songs and verses
- Movement in the form of games or dances
- Whole class and individual recitation
- Lessons embedded in oral storytelling
- Engaging visual aids and props
- Artistic drawings and crafts
- Creation of written pages in lesson books
- Integration of seasonal milestones and cultural celebrations in the cycle of the year
Qualifications
We recognize there are many paths that may have prepared you for this experience, such as:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Fluency in spoken Spanish and proficiency in written Spanish
- 1 – 2 years of previous relevant classroom experience
- Teaching experience in a Waldorf school preferred
- Have completed, or are willing to engage in, professional development opportunities in Waldorf education
