Opening Statement

City of Lakes Waldorf School seeks a lead early childhood teacher for our year-round toddler program. The teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a warm, safe, and nurturing Waldorf environment for our youngest students, 18-36 months. The teacher will work collaboratively within the school as a whole, and within the Early Childhood program, which consists of Parent/Toddler, Preschool, and Kindergarten classes.

The Lead Teacher is expected to demonstrate leadership capacities in supporting a team of assistants, onboarding new families, and providing parent education.

Qualifications

Strong candidates will be experienced early childhood educators with extensive experience with toddlers. Candidates should have completed a bachelor’s degree. Additional training through Lifeways or a Waldorf Early Childhood Teacher certificate program and experience working with diverse populations are a plus.

A love of toddlers, a kinship for Waldorf pedagogy as it relates to young children, a demonstrated capacity to work well with parents, and a commitment to inclusion are required.
