The Nelson Waldorf School is seeking a Class Teacher for Grade 1!

About
Our beautiful campus comprises 33 forested acres just outside the vibrant and diverse city of Nelson. The beautiful West Kootenay Mountains and Kootenay Lake invite to year round outdoor adventures such as hiking, skiing, boating, swimming, fishing and mountain biking. Our rich and diverse Arts communities include galleries, dance companies, choirs, and theatre performances. The local Selkirk College has a world renown music department that attracts many globally based musicians.
Founded in 1983, we take pride in over 40 years of experience while continuously remaining innovative. All our educators are supported through mentorship. Professional development is part of our annual rhythm. Teachers participate in both on-site sessions and travel to larger Waldorf centers across North America.

Qualifications
To be considered, applicants must:
- Hold a Teacher Regulation Branch teaching certificate or be eligible for certification,
- Be Waldorf trained or willing to participate in Waldorf training (training opportunities available),
- Eligible to work in Canada.
