Early Childhood Lead Camp Instructor
Opening Statement
Pasadena Waldorf School (PWS) is seeking an EC Lead Camp Instructor for our seasonal break camps. This role will lead 5-26 campers from preschool and kindergarten in themed lessons, projects, and activities. They will work closely with the EC Camp Assistant and have on-site support from the Out-of- School Programs Coordinator.

Essential Job Duties
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan, develop, and implement the camp theme of the week through various lessons and programs.
- Lead and facilitate various camp activities, such as educational projects, arts and crafts, music and movement, and nature exploration.

- Promote an inclusive, supportive, and respectful camp environment and community.
- Maintain the safety and wellbeing of campers and follow proper safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Background check clearance required.
- High School diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree preferred, commensurate work experience considered.
- Early childhood basic care course credits required (institution may vary).
- Pediatric and adult first aid/CPR certification required.
- 1 year of teaching experience (preschool or kindergarten) preferred.
- Punctuality and ability to follow a set daily schedule.
- Adherence to the policies and procedures outlined in the PWS Employee Handbook 2024-2025.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Out-of-School Programs Coordinator and the EC Camp Assistant, take initiative, and represent the School in a professional manner.
Employment Details
Compensation and Daily Schedule:
- This is a seasonal, exempt/salaried position working 32.5 hours per week.
- This position is ineligible for benefits.
- Pay scale: $168.00 per day/$840.00 per full week (5 days).
- Daily schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 3:30PM, with a 30-minute unpaid meal break.
- End time may vary depending on camper dismissal, classroom clean-up, and prep-time for the next workday.
