Linden Waldorf School is seeking an Early Childhood Assistant.

Position: Early Childhood Assistant Status: Part-time, Hourly
Essential Job Duties
Primary Function:
The Early Childhood Assistant shall meet the needs of the children, the program, and the well-being of the classroom. Prompt and regular attendance is an essential duty and responsibility of this position. The employee’s schedule will be from 11:00 a.m.–3:15 p.m.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Support the Early Childhood Staff though the following:
Help to maintain the classroom and EC common areas with duties such as sweeping, dusting, washing dishes, picking up in restrooms (paper towels, trash, water spills) during school day.
Preparation of the snacks, art activities, painting and other activities, as determined in consultation with lead teachers.
Support the lead teacher in fostering positive behavior and maintaining a safe, calm, and respectful social environment using proactive strategies to guide student interactions and resolve conflicts
Assist the lead teacher in maintaining a clean, orderly classroom environment. This includes a daily tidy up of all areas or other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
1 – 2 years previous classroom experience

$18 per hour
