Opening Statement
Asheville Waldorf School is seeking an Aftercare Teacher to join our school faculty starting in July for the 2025-26 school year. This is a part-time position or could be combined with our Rest Nest position for a more full schedule.
About
Asheville Waldorf School is in its thirteenth school year. In the 2024/25 school year, we are offering multiple parent-child classes, two mixed-age kindergartens, and grades 1–6.
Asheville Waldorf became an associate member of WECAN in 2017 and of AWSNA in 2018. Our organization consists of a cohesive and striving Faculty, a Board of Directors that draws members from both the parent body and the community, a committed Administration (an Administrator, Office Coordinator, Business Manager, and Admissions Director and Assistant), and a loving and involved community of parents and families.
Qualifications
We seek teachers with a deep understanding of child development, an interest in Anthroposophy, a love of working with young children, and the enthusiasm and energy to be involved in the growth of a pioneering school.
