Opening Statement
Teaching Opportunity for an Experienced Photography Teacher
San Francisco Waldorf High School has an opening for a Photography Teacher effective January 4th, 2027 during the 2026-2027 school year. We offer elective digital photography classes in 8-week blocks to 11th and 12th graders.
The instructor would teach photographic compositional elements, post-processing and photo management, and must be comfortable teaching Photoshop. Classes meet twice per week (3 hours per week total) for approximately 8 weeks and class size ranges from 10-14 students.
Days/times: Monday mornings 10:15am-11:30am and Friday afternoons 1:25pm-3:15pm.
Depending on student interest, this 8-week block is offered up to four times per year.

Compensation
This is a part-time position. Compensation is $75.00 per hour. This is a non-exempt, hourly position. It does not continue through the summer break. Benefits include San Francisco Sick Paid Sick Leave and San Francisco Health Care Ordinance.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Be able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
- Work intermittently in outside weather conditions, including heat and cold
- Regularly sitting or standing 4-8 hours
