Opening Statement
Summerfield Waldorf School is seeking a temporary Eurythmy Teacher to teach our Kindergartens
and Grades 5-8th classes through at least Thanksgiving, while our K-8th Eurythmist is co-teaching our First
Grade.
We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, Eurythmy certified educator with experience teaching multiple
grade levels. Eurythmy is an important part of our curriculum, and our Eurythmy spaces include a
specialized movement hall and a Eurythmy theater.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
● Imaginative, creative teaching
● Strength and positivity in classroom management skills
● Listening to what is needed, flexibility, curiosity, and interest in collaboration

Essential Job Duties
Responsibilities:
● Provide part-time eurythmy instruction for two Kindergarten classes and Grades 5-8th.
● Participate in weekly faculty meetings.
● Collaborate with student support services and colleagues.
● Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and fellow faculty.
Qualifications
● Eurythmy Training Certification (required)
● Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
● Demonstrated success teaching Eurythmy to different age groups
● Commitment to Waldorf principles and philosophy.
Employment Details
Physical Requirements:
● Indoor activities: Lifting up to 70 pounds (children).
● Standing, walking, dancing, jumping, sweeping, vacuuming etc. for teaching, circle time and classroom care.
● Outdoor time on irregular surfaces: Standing, walking, lifting up to 70 pounds (children) regularly lifting 10-15 pounds (tools, toys), running.
