Part-time Salaried German Teacher
Green Meadow Waldorf School seeks a part-time, dynamic German language teacher with well-developed classroom management skills who can meet and inspire students to learn about German language and culture. Join our excellent World Language Department, with growth potential in the coming years as we grow our high school program. This is a 60% salaried position, teaching 4 days/week, a mix of middle school and lower school classes.

OVERVIEW OF THE WORLD LANGUAGE DEPARTMENT
The World Language Department believes students should be global citizens and active members of our local communities, linguistically and culturally. We aim to facilitate the development of strong comprehension and speaking skills, ease and confidence with reading and writing skills, and introduce students to the joys and beauty of language learning through a developmental and artistic curriculum based on principles of Waldorf education.
Essential Job Duties
POSITION OVERVIEW
A Green Meadow Waldorf School German teacher inspires and develops students to be competent language and cultural learners, to participate in our World Language Exchange program, teaches students about German language cultures, which includes history, culture, festivals, traditional food, social conventions, organizes events where students can showcase their language skills; develops lesson plans and curricula based on the needs of individual classes and students, teaches writing and composition, provide conversational classes to master near-native pronunciation.
Job requirements
The ideal candidate will have a relevant four-year college degree, an advanced degree strongly preferred, middle school and high school teaching experience or other relevant experience, Waldorf teacher training or a commitment to complete Waldorf teacher training, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a spirit of collaboration. Other duties include:
Student assessment and report writing, communicating with parents in writing and verbally in parent conferences, and providing suggestions and support for struggling students.
Employment Details
SALARY AND REMUNERATION
This is a 60% salaried position, with remuneration based on experience and educational background ranging from $30,000 – $46,000.
