At Sacramento Waldorf School (SWS), we are dedicated to creating a nurturing and inspiring environment where children can grow and develop their unique potential. We are thrilled to invite an experienced and passionate First Grade Teacher to join our Lower School faculty starting in August 2025. In this role, you will have the opportunity to guide young learners through the beginning of their grade school journey, fostering their academic, social, and emotional growth while engaging in the rich traditions of Waldorf education. As part of our supportive and collaborative faculty, you will help cultivate a classroom environment that inspires curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.
Our Class Teachers are supported in their work by a full range of specialty classes and a robust parent community dedicated to the longevity, health, and innovation of our school. The SWS faculty is talented, experienced, and inspiring, and we provide our teachers with the guidance of an established College of Teachers, a supportive mentoring program, and a collegial work environment.
If you are an enthusiastic educator who values child-centered, developmentally appropriate learning, and you are eager to build a strong foundation for students in their first year of grade school, we would love to hear from you!
