In honor of Waldorf100, Tamarack Waldorf School students sewed and then filled backpacks for those in need as part of the Pathfinders Backpack Project.

The Association of Waldorf Schools of North American (AWSNA) is launching its Waldorf Alum Connect Spotlight campaign in January and is seeking published news about alums.

With approximately 250 people attending from across the reservation, LWS hosted the first Pow Wow of Teča Wačipi Okolakiciye, celebrated the 26th Anniversary of the Lakota Waldorf School and commemorated the 100th Anniversary of Waldorf Education.

Artist John W. Jacobs, a long time parent at the Seattle Waldorf School, created a mural for the school in honor of Waldorf education’s 100 year anniversary.

Spikenard Farm Honeybee Sanctuary is hosting their 2020 Waldorf Workshop in July to help successfully bring bees to Waldorf schools. Scholarships are available.

Instead of telling children what to do, Waldorf early childhood teachers encourage children to find the will within themselves to do what is right. But how is this done?

Visitors to the rotunda of the California state Capitol were treated to two hours of musical performances by five local AWSNA member schools and three schools from the Alliance for Public Waldorf Education as part of its long-running Capitol Holiday music program.

Two current seniors at the Sacramento Waldorf School, Tyler Cochran-Branson and Riley Day, are working together to raise awareness on campus about climate change and reduce the carbon footprint of both the school and its inhabitants.

No doubt you are aware of the powerful voices of countless youth across the globe who are challenging the public take climate change seriously. On September 20th, students from a number of Waldorf schools in North America took a stand. We celebrate their community activism.
