In June, AWSNA held three consecutive keynote conversations to discuss principle #6 of the AWSNA Principles for Waldorf Schools which states: “Spiritual development in support of professional growth is an ongoing activity for faculty, staff, and board members.” 

Laura Radefeld, administrative director of a Waldorf school and practicing eurythmist, and Kenya Strong, class teacher, came together for this keynote conversation to give their perspectives on taking up DEI work for themselves and for Waldorf education.

Laura speaks to the work her school has engaged in and what has happened to her community as a result. Kenya shares her constant efforts to bring awareness of DEI issues to the forefront of Waldorf education and in her inner work. Stephanie Rynas, Executive Director, Operations and Member Resources for AWSNA, facilitates this important conversation.
