Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood is encouraging schools, parents and other community organizers to rally around “screen free week” coming up April 29th through May 5th.
A healthy childhood depends on play, which is why Henry Labalme and Matt Pawa created TV Turnoff Week in 1994. In 2010, TV Turnoff Week became Screen-Free Week and it found a new home at Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood.
The idea is that, during Screen-Free Week, kids and families will unplug and reconnect with the world around them enjoying art, nature, reading and more.
Join the millions participating in Screen Free Week this year!
