Maine Coast Waldorf School graduate, Stuart Whittier, has become the youngest ski cross athlete in the World Cup! Stuart began skiing before age two.
Ski cross, an Olympic sport since 2010, is known for its heat race format where four skiers descend down a course simultaneously and do freestyle ski features like those found in traditional Alpine events.
Stuart has been downhill skiing since he was two years old, but made the switch from Alpine racing to Ski Cross at age 14.
