Lisa has taught math at the Waldorf School of the Peninsula (WSP) since 2003, where she is also a founding teacher of the high school. Lisa earned a BA in Mathematics, a MS in Mathematics Education and a PhD in Science Education from the University of Pennsylvania, where she also taught graduate school. She also has a master’s degree in Applied Psychology. Before WSP, she taught mathematics in middle and high school for over two decades in independent schools on both coasts, as well as having been an administrator. Lisa has also taught in teacher trainings at Rudolf Steiner College, in China and Malaysia, has mentored and evaluated Waldorf teachers, and currently serves as the Northern California AWSNA Leadership Council Member. She is the parent of two Waldorf "lifer-alums" and enjoys reading, hiking and crafting.

Leadership Council - Teacher Education Delegates Circle (TEDC)

Kristine currently serves as Pedagogical Director for the Bay Area Center for Waldorf Teacher Training (BACWTT).  Prior to this, she was a class teacher for two cycles at the Marin Waldorf School, served as college chair and on the board, and helped launch a small high school initiative.  She grew up in France and Germany, has M.A.s in French Studies and English Literature, a California High School Teaching Credential, and is a BACWTT graduate. She taught college literature and composition for many years, worked as a technical writer and programmer, then returned to teaching in public and private schools before discovering Waldorf education. An unflagging interest is creating new approaches to the Waldorf curriculum; her most enjoyable challenge (now that soccer is off the table) is learning the cello.

Leadership Council - Texas-Mexico-Canadian-Southwest-Rockies Region

Cathie served as the School Administrator at the Calgary Waldorf School (CWS) for twelve years and now serves as a mentor to the school's Administrative Leadership Team.  Cathie also served for twenty years on the CWS Board of Directors, as President, Past-President, Secretary, and member at large.  Her daughter Kate attended Preschool through Ninth Grade at the Calgary Waldorf School, and then graduated from the High School at the Toronto Waldorf School. Before Cathie's Waldorf school administration career, she worked for 25 years as a social worker, counsellor, mediator and researcher, primarily with children and their families in medical settings and with bereaved parents.  She also taught in the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Calgary.  Cathie has an Honours BA in Sociology, an MA in Sociology, and an MSW, all from the University of Calgary, and she is an RSW with the Alberta College of Social Workers.

Wendy began her Waldorf journey in 2001 and has served in several areas throughout her 20 years of experience in Waldorf Education. She is currently the Administrative Director at the Waldorf School of Palm Beach. Prior to WSPB, Wendy spent the last 8 years as the Operations Manager at Sacramento Waldorf School. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Studies Organizational Leadership and is currently enrolled in an Administrative and Leadership program. Wendy is the parent of two Waldorf alumni and enjoys running, knitting, and the beautiful beaches in Florida.

Anne Clair joined the Faculty at Waldorf School of Pittsburgh in 2000 as a class teacher, where she has been an active faculty member ever since. Having attended Washington Waldorf School from 1st–12th Grades, she is firmly committed to the mission of Waldorf education and loves to watch her students discover the world, as well as working collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support the students of the school and in Waldorf Education across the continent. Anne Clair holds a BA in History from Oberlin College and a M.Ed. and Waldorf Teacher Certificate from Antioch New England. When not working on behalf of Waldorf Education, Anne Clair loves hiking, the arts, volunteering at her synagogue, and adventures of all sorts in Western Pennsylvania and beyond.

Leadership Council - Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America (WECAN)

As Membership Coordinator of the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America (WECAN) since 2016, Laura supports about 200 early childhood programs in their membership processes. Laura has been an early childhood teacher at Three Cedars Waldorf School - now Eastside Community School – in Bellevue, WA since 2002 and has held a variety of leadership positions within the school. She received her Waldorf Early Childhood Certificate from Rudolf Steiner College in 2007. Laura is the parent of two Waldorf alumni: Anne ’13 and Rachel ’15.

Leadership Council - Southern California/Hawai'i Region

Brooke has been a class teacher at the Waldorf School of Orange County since 2011, returning to teaching middle school after promoting a class to 9th grade in 2019.  She came to Waldorf education and a serious study of Anthroposophy in 2002 and has been involved with Waldorf schools in Arizona and California. Prior to teaching, she worked as an Office Administrator for the Waldorf Institute of Southern California, where she also completed her Waldorf teaching certificate.  Brooke holds a B.F.A. in Theatre from Arizona State University and is in her final year of training with the Center for Biography and Social Art.  Brooke has four children; 2 at the WSOC High School and two WSOC alumni, Class of 2019 and Class of 2021.

Leadership Council, MidAtlantic Region

Astrea has been involved in Waldorf Education for over 19 years as a parent, class teacher, faculty chair, board member, and in her current role as Administrator of the Waldorf School of Saratoga Springs. She became a class teacher in 2009 and transitioned into the role of Administrator in 2022, after many years of leadership experience. Her oldest daughter graduated in 2021 and her younger daughter has completed her ninth grade year at WSSS. Astrea holds a B.A. from Empire State College in Cultural Studies with an emphasis on Creative Writing, a Waldorf Teaching Certificate from Antioch University, a Collaborative Leadership certificate from Sunbridge Institute, and a Level I certificate from the Spacial Dynamics Institute. Before discovering Waldorf education, Astrea worked as a massage therapist and birth doula. She has a passion for the multidisciplinary nature of Waldorf education and seeing the movement thrive into the future by embracing the needs of our time, and fostering Waldorf's expansive, practical, diverse curriculum and collaborative community building. In her free time, Astrea likes to read, write poetry, drum, travel, try her hand at new recipes, spend time with her three cats, walk with her dog, dance with her husband, explore new spaces with her two teen daughters, and kayak!

Leadership Council, Northwest/Pacific Region

As British Columbia Subregional Representative of AWSNA since 2018, former Head of School of Whistler Waldorf School, and previous co-founder of Okanagan Waldorf School, Rubeena is committed to fostering social renewal, educational quality, and Waldorf principles within the Waldorf Education movement and beyond. She is hopeful about the future and passionate about "helping the helpers". She is dedicated to serving the people of our future: children, youth and young adults. Currently completing a Masters in Counselling Psychology, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Grades teaching certificate from the West Coast Institute of Anthroposophy, Rubeena has been a Waldorf educator, administrator and board member for the last 14 years. Her skill sets and interests have led her into governance work, teacher education, and helping Waldorf schools integrate regional government curricular standards and legal requirements in practical, collaborative, and innovative ways. Rubeena is the proud parent of her son Sage, a Waldorf high school graduate, and her daughter Oriah, who is currently in Grade 9 at the Whistler Waldorf School.

Leadership Council - Pedagogical Section Council (PSC)

Frances is currently an art teacher and class advisor at the Chicago Waldorf High School, and a Core group member and faculty member of the Waldorf Institute of Chicago.  She has experience as a class teacher and special subject teacher at CWS, has been a member of the Board of Trustees and worked with governance issues as well as mentoring. Research into the intersection of science and art has been a lifelong passion. Frances completed her studies at Christ Church College Canterbury, Kent in the UK where she focused on secondary education. She then studied arts with a focus on sculpture at Emerson College, Forest Row, England. She and her husband are the parents of Noah, Cymen and Halin Vig , all three of whom attended the Chicago Waldorf School. They are currently highly entertained by the delightful antics of two lively grandchildren, Kai and Roar.
