The Association of Waldorf Schools of North America is seeking a 

Director of Alum Relations 

Statement of Work
August 1, 2022 – July 31, 2023
 
Scope of Work
The Director of Alum Relations will serve to nurture, guide, and implement the association’s engagement and cultivation of the Waldorf alum community. The director’s task is to advance alum relations efforts in North America with an emphasis on networking via Almabase and identifying areas of continental connection and collaboration as it pertains to alum work. 
 
1. Almabase -  Waldorf Alum Connect Platform Management
  • Working with the Executive Director, Advancement to expand the use of the Almabase platform with members (schools and institutes) by communicating the benefits and opportunities of the use of the platform and ensuring that members meet the responsibilities outlined in the AWSNA Membership Guide
  • Support, guide, and inspire members to onboard alum into the Almabase system
  • Provide content (see Public Relations) to engage alum through the platform and send regular emails to continue engagement and encourage alum to join
  • Verify users, clean duplicates, and collect and push data to/from schools and institutes
2. Advance Alum Connections 
In collaboration with AWSNA member schools and institutes and alum coordinators and directors, identify and advance opportunities that support alum connections in North America. Activities may include alum events, alum associations, and regional associative work. 
 
3. Public Relations 
In collaboration with the Executive Director, Advancement, develop materials and campaigns that connect alum and share successes. This may include written articles in School Renewal, alum highlights in social media, production of alum newsletters, website and content, etc.

Travel
  • Occasional travel for meetings and school/institute events
Reporting
  • Regular communication with the Executive Director, Advancement
Contract is for one year, which can be extended. Agreement is firm for three months but may be canceled with 30 days’ notice after that.
