Opening Statement
Bright Water Waldorf School is seeking an energetic, collaborative, and warm-hearted office administrator who would like to join a vibrant Waldorf community. We are a group of dedicated faculty and staff committed to Waldorf principles, mindful land stewardship, and providing our students with opportunities for dynamic learning within an inclusive community.

Essential Job Duties
Job Duties:
- Front line of the office, answering the phone, door, and addressing student issues as they arise
- Assist in the planning and implementation of BWWS community, fundraising, and curricular events and festivals
- Manage vendors, such as school and janitorial supplies
- Provide additional adult supervision during recess
- Proactively bring concerns that impact the well-being of the school, including safety, viability, and professionalism, to the College of Teachers, Board of Trustees, and/or Staff, as applicable and appropriate, to advance solutions
Qualifications
Required Experience:
- 2 years of relevant work, volunteer, or lived experience
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-centered environment
- Experience working within a team to achieve results
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate information clearly and firmly while building trust and demonstrating care for the community, individuals, and diverse perspectives
- Strong organizational skills, building processes that are clear, easy to use, and provide transparency
- Knowledge or experience with Google Suite, Excel, Zoom, BigSIS, and basic office equipment. Use of various social media channels as an administrator for organizational group page(s) and/or profile(s)

Employment Details
Location: On campus at Bright Water Waldorf School, 1414 S Weller Street, Seattle, WA 98144. (Located within the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Washington)
Hours: This is an hourly position, 20 hours/week, 10 am-2 pm
Compensation: Starting at $23.47 depending on experience (salary scale for transparency)
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Able to manage 50 pounds – lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and squatting (moving boxes, etc.).
